Hey Witch Doctor, that sounds kind of cool. I'm kind of a backyard modifier myself. I wanted an aftermarket pipe for my Savage, but I couln't afford a Supertrap or the others. So I call up my local Salvage yard and ask the guy if he has any used pipes that would fit my Savage. He tells me to come down, he's sure he can get something to fit. I ride down there and he sets me up with a brand new, out of the box, Cobra exhaust system for a Suzuki Intruder 1400. The long pipe from the box is a match. It just fits over the header and runs out to the back tire and turns outward, away from the tire. I says to him, "how much?" And he says, "$100.00 even". I says "OK". I get home with this big box strapped accross the back seat, take my old styfler off and put the Cobra on. I had to fabricate my own bracket out of bendable steel and some bolts I had lying around the garage. It was a little loose over the header pipe, so I cut up some beer cans and wrapped it around the header pipe until I got a snug fit. Well, the beer cans didn't last long (they burned up), so I had the Cobra permanently welded to the header for $20.00. So, for 120.00, I got a brand new exhaust pipe that sounds pretty cool. It's pretty quiet at Idle, but loud out on the highway. I want to put strait bars on her, any ideas on some straight bars? Ride safe.
